I'm not naming names, but two review sites have given Surrender Love 5 stars each. That makes me pretty happy. I worked my heinie off on this one and I'm glad the work shows it.Anne Cain did that gorgeous cover. On Character Chats with Luc, Anne loves to flirt with him. Luc asked her if she'd paint him and she promised to use only gentle sable brushes for his lovely dark chocolate skin. To which he replied, "What color would you like? I'm thinking of entering a blue period. Or red. Whichever you prefer." She enjoyed working on this cover, and it certainly shows!
A bit of trivia for you -- my son Jamin created the logo on Izzorah "Rah" Ceeow's T-shirt in the back. Rah's favorite group is "Iron Soul" even though Rah himself is a member of Kumwhatmay. I plan to write about the various rock groups one of these days, and it will include the sentient android lead singer of Iron Soul (Bold), the sex-pheromone addicting five-member group Forbidden Pleasures, and then there's Ahneesah Kin (Daughters of the Kin), whose symbol is a Kin warrior's hook knife behind a slash mark, showing their disdain for the traditional Kin society which places all power in the warriors' hands and none in the peoples'. Of course we can't forget Kumwhatmay, led by the handsome Kory Askott, who was a former pleasure slave. Rah was the drummer for the group until an accident throws him into Luc Saint-Cyr's keeping, and that is what the book Surrender Love is all about.
Want a peek at the blurb? Here you go...
Surrender Love
It's not rebound, payback, loneliness, or great sex, and it's way beyond love. It's surrender.
Izzorah -- A little feral, a little innocent, all male. Fleeing a world that denies him basic rights, forced into a society blind to his needs, Rah lives for his music. When a freak accident throws him into the care of the most powerful man in the empire, the attention he receives is beyond anything he'd ever dreamed. But is the attraction he feels toward his rescuer gratitude, lust, or a deeper, abiding call to yield all that he is?
Luc -- the prestige of his power, wealth, and influence directs an empire scattered across the stars. His word shapes the foundations of business and his financial prowess is of mythic proportions. Yet beneath the myths beats the heart of a man who craves what he has never given and is certain he will always be denied -- steadfast, faithful love.
In the beds of countless lovers, the immortal Luc Saint-Cyr has been mastered as well as master. Commanded and commander. When his mortal lover leaves him, the distraught Luc withdraws and devotes himself to work. His entertainment company throws a ceremony for their most successful rock group, and Luc meets drummer Izzorah "Rah" Ceeow, one of the feline Kin race. Rah's velvety, golden furskin and dark hair captivate Luc. Pert cat's ears and a quick smile lighten his mood, and one look into Rah's emerald eyes, deep and tranquil as a forest pool, and troubles cease.
Rah's a virgin, and Luc's too enamored by the quiet depth of Rah's inner peace to rush him into sex. Seducing Rah and savoring his surrender will be as delicious as taking him. No matter how sexually starved Luc is, he will allow Rah to give himself when he is ready to surrender his innocence, to offer himself to Luc's command. Rah will beg to be taken. Luc's anticipation and desire are palpable; as real as his hunger for faithful, unconditional love. Has the immortal finally met a lover who can match his inexhaustible stamina and sexual hunger? If so, how much is Luc willing to surrender to gain his love?
It's no secret I love this story, and I'm hot at work on the sequel, Surrender Trust, soon to be followed by Surrender Will. To keep in touch with what's out and when, and to see all the other books related to this trilogy, come by my books page.

I have a special treat today. Tell me the name of Rah's favorite rock group, and I'll draw one name from those who post correctly and send you a T-shirt that matches his on the cover. Er... minus the wear and tear. Yours will be in mint condition. In your post, you must also tell me who your favorite group was growing up and why. I'll pick a winner tonight at 10pm and contact the winner by email as well as post it here.

Iron Soul
Growing up we listened to Mom and Dad's old records and I must admit that Elvis Presley was my favorite.
very good, Chris. My older sister was an Elvis fan, but I never got into him. For me it was a decade later with the Beatles, the Dave Clark Five, and the Animals among many. I grew up near Las Vegas and everyone came there. What a different era - Mom would drop me off in the afternoon and pick me up about 11 at night when I was only 13 or 14, and thought nothing of it. We were perfectly safe. Thanks for the comment!
The answer to the question is Iron Soul. My FAVORITE band growing up was Bon Jovi. If they made it with Bon Jovi on it, I owned it! I love love love them and still do to this day. Jon has only gotten more handsome with age!
Iron Soul
I don't remember having an absolute favorite. I attended concerts from John Denver to Alice Cooper. In college I saw Linda R. and the Eagles perform together. Grand Funk Railroad, Three Dog Night, even Tony Orlando and Dawn, I enjoyed them all.
Iron Soul
Growing up my parents made me listen to the oldies from their era until I wanted to puke and then they got worse by making me listen to country until my ears wanted to fall off. I myself liked the lite rock of the '80's.
Rah's favorite group is IRON SOUL. My favorites were Aerosmith and AC/DC. (sorry, couldn't pick one over the other)
Iron Soul is the band.
I don't have an actual group I liked. My favorite groups to listen to was any that had a very deep base singer.
Iron Soul
Did not listen to much music growing up with my father tuning in sports and news. Did go see Adam Ant and Depeche Mode in concert.
Snulfers wins the T-shirt! I've emailed and as soon as I know the size and snail mail, I'll send it off.
Thanks to all of you who came by to play!
