First Snow This Season

The sky is blue and sunny now but yesterday it was gray and heaving great gusts of heavy, wet snow. I was in heaven. My husband and I finished our Christmas shopping, made a mess of a gingerbread village kit, watched movies, napped and added a few more ornaments to our tree. This morning as I'm blogging, I'm munching on my favorite winter breakfast: whole grain toast with butter and homemade hot cranberry compote with a big steaming mug of Starbucks Christmas Blend.
