Don't worry, I certainly have no grief against you guys. I think it's been a pretty good 2009 for me personally - some highs, some lows, a few mehs. If anything, the end of 2009 gives me inspiration to work toward a better 2010, and that's my goal.
Reading through my blog, I found an old post of my New Year's Resolutions for 2009. Thought it would be a good time to tally the score. From an initial look, it isn't very pretty, but rest assured I have a great excuse for slacking. ;-)
For 2009, I resolved:
1) Lose weight - Will go more smoothly if Obama can ban carbs.
I have actually lost 30 pounds in the last three months! I have 30 more to make goal so I can wear that nice faerie costume for RT.
2) Complete one full-length Dareville novel - Most likely it will be Dare Devils
Alas, I didn't make that happen. I did publish a few Dareville shorts and get 20K into my next mystery, though. 2010 will be about finishing that.
3) Increase Phaze Books sales by 50% - We did it this year, why not?
I think we did okay. :-) As far as awards go, it's been our best year yet with four EPIC Award noms.
4) Redo website...again - I am so fickle
Done! I loves it.
5) Get new cart installed at Phaze - put that off long enough
Still working on new Phaze site. I will have more time in 2010 to finish.
6) Increase promotion efforts - more blogging and tweeting, less whining
I think I handle myself well on the blog and the Twitter. The whining I save for home.
7) Save up for Rush's next tour - and there will be a tour. Oh yes, there will.
There will, too! Rumor is new album next year and a short indoor tour. Whoo!
So, how did you do this year?
