Branded and the Black Wolf... on the horizon...

First, just for some naughty fun, here’s an X-Flash salute to the whimsical side of what has become Easter tradition.

He traced his tongue over the swell of her breast. “Soft as marshmallow,” he praised. His teeth gripped her nipple, tormenting with rhythmic tugs. “Pink as candy.”
“Mmmmm, your ears are so fuzzy for a were-rabbit.” She kissed the pointed tips, his silvery bunny fur sensuous against her lips. “But, what about your eggs?” she teased, sliding her hand down his robustly muscled chest, his sleek loins, around his dark glistening shaft. “Yep, hard-boiled and fuzzy,” she whispered, gently kneading. “And deliciously ready to fill my empty basket.”
“Hop on, we’ll mate like rabbits,” he invited, fisting her human tresses.

So, what’s on my erotic romance horizon? At this point in my authorly career? Or should I say my writer’s journey.

Looking from the outside in, as the Observer, this journey is fascinating to say the least. There’s been a fast and furious learning curve, especially in how to promo. And, I’m certain some would argue my efforts are lacking. However, I always do the best I can and I make it as fun and entertaining as possible for myself and for whoever comes across it.

One of the reasons I am a writer... yes, it’s in my soul... is because I’ve always had a profound love for learning, for educating myself. Writing and being an author means I’m always coming across something new. Whether it’s the research for my latest WIP, or how to craft my stories in a way that makes them more powerful, more readable... more of what I want them to be, I’m always exercising my brain.

Like life, itself, being a writer/author is an endless journey with triumphs and tragedies along the way. Actually, I digress, since I meant to talk about what’s on the immediate horizon.

BRANDED BY THE TEXANS will be my next release, due out in ebook in August 2010. It’s also scheduled for a print release in February 2011. To say I’m excited... yippee... yahoo... ride those bronco-buckin’ cowboys, Kylie!

In the meantime I’ve been penning on THE BLACK WOLF’S PROPHETESS ~ a contemporary shapeshifter erotic romance with lots of paranormal elements. Sondra and Duke’s love story began life as a novella. However, the depth and richness of the tale/tail demanded a longer telling. Here’s the blurbie, so far ~

I also recently wrote a short story titled, THE TIGER’S MASQUERADE, for possible inclusion in a Halloween Anthology. However, if Stacy and Zyrru’s love story doesn’t make that cut, I think it will find a good home. Or, I’ll rewrite their erotic romance romp into a longer version. Here’s a small synopsis ~

The Tiger’s Masquerade is a contemporary shapeshifter tale set in a Sacramento mansion during the Call of the Wild Masquerade ball. Zyrru, the tiger shifter hero, is vacationing on Earth. He, and other tiger shifters from his planet-world, have a pretend business, Tame a Party Tiger, and hire themselves out for parties. Stacy, the human heroine, hasn’t had any success with real passion or love. That is, until Zyrru catches her scent and pursues her in way she could never have dreamed.

Currently, I have an authorly dilemma to resolve. To have a story published in time for Halloween, it needs to be submitted fairly soon. I have another WIP ~ KANDY APPLE FOR HALLOWEEN ~ that I’d love to see out then. However, that means Black Wolf would have to be put on hold to finish and polish the love story of my witch, Kandy, and her twin Hellhounds.

Yep, that’s often what we authors face during our journeys, those kinds of tricky decisions.

Then, there are the rewards. STALLION OF ASH AND FLAME is now out ‘In Print’. Wahoo and Whinny!
