Woot! It is the release day for Demon Of Convenience, the second story in my Demon Chronicles series (it can be read first, all my stories can be read solo). This is my 14th release, and you would think that the excitement of a new release would wear off, but it doesn't.
I might, actually, be more hyped because some of my readers are now friends, and I'm stoked to hear what they think of my new stories. Will Dawn like the handsfree sex scene? Will Virginia be intrigued by the ancient demon baddie?
What do I do on release day?
Well, I try very, very hard not to get fired from my day job. (grinning) That is the biggest challenge. Coworkers don't appreciate squeals at 9 in the morning. I tap my feet on the industrial carpet, burning off some of the urge to get up and dance (trust me, that is ALSO not appreciated). I stare at my cover during every coffee break, admiring Bryan's artwork, and attempting to derive from the arrangement of pixels whether or not readers are enjoying the story (I haven't yet been able to do this, but that doesn't stop me from trying). I obsessively check my email, hoping that a reader will share her/his thoughts. I haunt yahoo loops, in case someone asks about a demon story, and I can say 'hey, I have one out!'
Yeah, I spend the day hugging the fine line between sane and total nutcase, but this is one of the days, writers fear, love, live for.

Mina has to bond with a demon. In return for his permanent protection, she will offer him unlimited power. When she asks her best friend for help, Taurinus -- a deadly assassin -- arrives instead.
Mina is horrified by the last minute substitution, but she is running out of time and has no other choice. She resigns herself to a passionless bonding of convenience... until one kiss changes everything.
