At least for some parts of the world. Here in Arizona, we kind of skip it - going from winter to summer in the blink of an eye.
But soon, the flowers in my garden will bloom with color and scent.
I love the sight of it all, filling my yard.
Not that I’m much of a gardener, cause I’m not. The plants that thrive for me are the ones who don’t need much care -- a bit of sun, water and dirt. They’re hardy, they have to be. Otherwise I’d kill ‘em.
The nice thing about Arizona is the supply of hardy plants. In order to grow here, they have to deal with the deadly summer heat. So at any nursery, I can find those nice plants it’ll be hard for me to fail with.
This year, I’m also taking my row of rose bushes out from in front of our fence and putting in low maintenance shrubs.
While I love roses, they’ve always looked a bit sickly. I don’t like shrubs but have been assured they’re hardy. Hopefully I can find some that have pretty flowers.
With the nicer weather, I can talk my kids into going outside and playing. Less underfoot, more quiet. Ah, I can hear it already.
Of course, with spring comes spring-cleaning. That I’ll put off for a little while. I have a good excuse - I need to write.
Right? LOL.
Q4U: What do you like about spring?

A rare Argentinean dragon shifter, Cynthianna "Anna" Hernandez has never known trust, peace or safety, not even by fleeing to the deepest wilds of Canada. When bounty hunter Garreth Dragos shows up during a blizzard, things get complicated as their inner dragons decide they're perfect for each other. Things get worse when the dark mage hunting Anna finds them, sending his creatures to return her to his evil clutches. He's willing to sacrifice anything and anybody to further his quest for power. Together, Anna and Garreth must trust in each other or all will be lost to evil.

I'm with you on the gardening habits. I love to see the flowers and the colors, but my thumb is more brown than green. Scorched sounds like a great read.
