I hope everyone had a happy, healthy and safe 2011 and Holiday Season. I'll admit, I'm holiday-ed out! Yes, I'm one of those types who always goes over the top celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's, so that by the first of the year, I'm totally ready for "business as usual!" I do, however, love the prospect of making a new year better than the last, and I focus my goals on that.
One thing I'm really looking forward to is getting back to writing. While I was thrilled to have my Christmas story, NAUGHTY ST. NICK on Amazon's Bestseller's List for the majority of the Holiday Season, I didn't get much else done by way of writing, with the exception of my latest release, SEDUCE ME.
There are some stories that seem to write themselves, and this is one of those stories. It's the third book in the Body Scenes series (not necessary to read them in order!) and it features a British vampire hero who is just as dreamy as can be! There's also an ultra-steamy menage and a powerful love story in this book. The heroine has a repressed heritage that she learns to embrace, and that makes for some sexy scenes!

2) A quick-n-easy recipe inspired by my SEDUCE ME heroine, Shana White. While I don't refer to this dish in the book, I did whip up a lot of spicy, coastal food when I was writing the story. I hope you enjoy my Tequila-Lime Shrimp Tacos--best served with a Mexican beer or margarita!
Tequila-Lime Shrimp Tacos for Two
1/2 pound raw shrimp (medium or large for flavor)
3 large limes
2 tablespoons tequila (more or less, depending on your taste--I prefer more!)
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder or minced gloves, to taste
Olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Corn tortillas
Squeeze limes and set juice aside. Shell, devein and rinse the shrimp. If you have medium ones, cut them in half; if you have large shrimp, cut each one in thirds (basically, you're looking for bite-size pieces here). Sprinkle a tablespoon of lime juice over them (I let them marinate in a bowl for a few minutes). Heat olive oil in pan and add garlic to saute. Add half of the remaining lime juice. Add shrimp. Cook for about 5 minutes (until they turn bright pink/red, stirring occasionally). Half way through the cooking time, add the tequila (I recommend taking the pan off the burner when you do this, particularly if cooking with gas--be careful of the flames). Add remainder of lime juice and fresh parsley at this halfway point, and then continue cooking.
Once the shrimp is fully cooked, serve piping hot with warm tortillas. To save on calories and fat, I don't add cheese, salsa, guacamole, etc. These tacos really don't need any embellishments. The most I ever add is a few shakes of Cholulla sauce for a little extra spice.
